Art & Daphne Carlyle are a creative team at Carlyle Art. Daphne completed the “Photographic Technology Diploma” program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton while Art is self taught; both are professional photographers and have combined their separate skills to run a successful portrait studio and retail business in Alberta.
Art and Daphne continue to study with internationally known photographic artists to hone their skills and keep up with the ever-changing demands of photographic technology.
Now semi-retired, the duo spend their time creating images on Vancouver Island and through their travels. Daphne continues to be an active member of the Professional Photographers of Canada and, as a Master of Photographic Arts, has won many awards including Photographer of the Year and the “Yousuf Karsh Lifetime Achievement Award”.
Art and Daphne would say their mission now is to encourage awareness, promote conservation and instill appreciation of our natural world wonders. Using “raw data” to give back and support a cause looking for a story to be told they attempt to create worlds beyond what the camera records in real life.
