Spent an enjoyable few hours photographing sea turtles at Ho’okipa Beach. Many as you can see came up on the beach to rest. Wildlife volunteers were on hand to make sure nobody came closer than 15 feet from the animals.
The trick was to try to capture turtles in the waves. One only had a fraction of a second to get the light coming through the wave with the turtles silhouetted inside. The turtles just seemed to be having fun but were probably eating seaweed and other green stuff on the rocks. Certainly fun to watch and try to photograph.
- Thought you were pretty smart finding the baby. Look again.

- How about here? Is that a small head?
- Waiting for supper.
- Here is a close up of the corn field. Looks like a great place to hide to me!
- When we first came along mamma deer was laying down in the middle of this corn field.
- Like most wild animals the deer went into alert and stood up when the car stopped.
- Sure enough we have a newborn.
